My cousin had her graduation party with the family yesterday.

My uncles and aunts gathered around and half cryed at the reading of each card. But her.. she just smiled with excitement at the opening of each gift as if it were another door being opened for her.

This will be next year. Opening gifts. Settling on my college decision. Accepting where I go with a half willing heart.

Samantha has always wanted to go to CU in Boulder. She is settling for La Tech.

Kat has always wanted to go to Rhodes, or Millsaps, or Sewanee, or Tulane. Or a nice liberal arts college with a small student body. What will Kat settle for a LSU with tiger drive classmates wishing I could be some where else.
